It’s actually going to be a really strange final. They’ll be a sea of red, with flags, banners, flares, singing there hearts out. Then they’ll be a wash of blue, sat silently, staring aimlessly at Frank Lampard.
I wouldn’t say all Manchester United Fans are scum, that’s unfair and a huge generalisation. But to all those of you, from whichever team, who have something disrespectful to say about Hillsborough, think about if it was your teams supporters who never returned home.
April 15th, 1989
Today is the 23rd anniversary of the Hillsborough Disaster where 96 Liverpool fans lost their lives and hundreds more were injured. Today is not about football, today is about remembering the innocent people who went to a match to support their team and never came home. Many don’t know of the true horror of the disaster and jump to conclusions about what actually happened that day due to lies they’ve read and lies they’ve heard. These were our brothers and sisters who didn’tdeserve to die and still, after all these years, we are fighting for their justice. I don’t expect you to understand or even care as much as me but this is for them. We sing for them, we fight for them, we play for them. Rest in peace the 96 who were lost, you are never forgotten. ♥
